Experience the unspoilt beauty of Mtentu, nestled on the Wild Coast. Our accommodation is perfectly suited for families, groups, nature lovers and business groups.

Nestled amidst breath-taking landscapes, the hiking shack invites adventurers to embark on their journey with the mantra, "let the adventure begin." This cozy retreat can accommodate up to 10 guests in a communal dormitory, offering both catered and self-catered options for your culinary needs. All linen and bedding is supplied, but towels are not, please bring your own. Guests can enjoy the luxury of a hot shower and a flush loo after a day of exploration. The surrounding area boasts pristine beaches, stunning red deserts, and the captivating Sikombe estuary. Wildlife enthusiasts can watch giant kingfish in the Mtentu river from the famed viewpoint, normally in January. Once those sights have been taken in, a short trek away is the cool inviting waters of Paradise pools, floating your stress away. From cascading waterfalls to Pebble beaches, to canoeing the options for adventure are endless. The canoeing is oarsome!! Access to the shack is facilitated by taxi services, as the roads can be challenging for standard vehicles, particularly during the wet season. Sedan type vehicles can be safely parked at the Wild Coast Sun. With so much to see and do, your stay promises to be unforgettable.

For international and in country guests, there is a shuttle from King Shaka International Airport To the Wild Coast Sun, where our local shuttle can pick you up and bring you out to the Hiking Shack. There is also the option of flying into Margate airport, where again, with prior arrangemen, our local shuttle can collect you.
